Zoom Literature

We are a group of readers who discuss one book a month. The selection of ten books is made by proposal and vote in early summer. We alternate between a classic novel and a more modern one. One member gives a short introduction to get us started. It is not essential to finish the book; your opinions are still welcome.

We don’t meet in December or August so sometimes the books for January and September are a little longer.

This is an opportunity to try out books you might not have thought to read. You never know, you might discover a new author to indulge in!

Here is the list for the next year:

22nd September The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway

27th October        Barchester Towers by Anthony Trollope

24th November   Restlessby William Boyd

26th January        The Way of All Flesh by Samuel Butler

23rd February      Shuggy Bain by Douglas Alexander

23rd March            The Honorary Consul by Grahame Greene
