Visits, Excursions and Holidays in 2020

Basingstoke - Old Basing showed it wouldn't be beaten by Covid in 2020!

We undertook the following trips, all complying with Government guidelines.

Mystery Coach Tour - we visited Arundel, with 3 hours to have lunch and explore this lovely town.

Visit to SS Great Britain - We were shown over this most interesting ship in five different groups of 6.

Greece - a group had a very enjoyable 10-day holiday in Greece, with three nights in Athens and five in Thessaloniki holiday.  They were able to get to several memorable places in both towns.

Excursions planned in 2021

  • 16 July: seaside fish'n'chips. Our coach outing to the seaside included a fish and chip lunch. The destination was a mystery, which turned out to be Worthing. The restaurant served us very quickly and efficiently. The meals were excellent - large portions of Fish, Chips served with some salad! We also had time to stroll and sit on the lovely wide promenade.

  • 19 August: Stratford-upon-Avon. You will have time to do your own thing in this lovely town.  Maybe a trip on the river, or a visit to Shakespeare attractions. The cost is expected to be no more than £25.

  • 10 September: Wells & Glastonbury. Time to visit the lovely cathedral in Wells, plus see the city.  In the afternoon a stop at Glastonbury where you will find a tea in the quaint shops.  Again the cost is expected to be no more than £25.

  • Visit to Royal Albert Hall Beauty of Ballet – scheduled for November 10th
