Lifelong learning

Lifelong learning is an area of particular relevance to U3A organisations. We have several groups in this faculty, details of which can be viewed using the buttons at the foot of the page. We hope there will be a few that appeal to you.

To contact the convenors for the two groups below directly, please send an email as follows:

If you would like to contact the leader of any other group, please use the Contact us form. Your enquiry will then be forwarded to the convenor of the group in question.

Computing - simple

Many members have laptop home computers, plus the increasing use of portable lightweight iPads, tablets and smartphones. Our intention is to explore their usefulness. This will entail such areas as safety on the internet, email, backup, downloads, antivirus and good computer housekeeping. Applications such as Skype and predictive texting are included.

Our objectives are to keep each session very friendly, practical, jargon free and most importantly, encourage confidence. Please bring your device(s) with you.

Additionally, we encourage group projects and workshops. These have proven very popular in the past, enabling cross references of useful personal ideas and problem solving for example.

Forthcoming Activity

We will be restarting meeting in person in September 2021.
