We are a very friendly group, so there is lots of chatter and laughter, while knitting. There is always someone willing to help or teach knitting, crochet, cross stitch, embroidery etc.

We try to have a few workshops each year eg. Dorset buttons, Christmas decorations and we have special events.

You can spend the time on your own project or a charity project, during the session.

We produce items for various charities. We make twiddlemuffs and blankets for the dementia wards; hats, mittens and canula sleeves for the neo-natal unit and cardigans for their Christmas presents. We’ve recently been knitting ‘Bobbie Bears’ for the local police, which they use when they are dealing with young children. We produce baby and toddler items for The Safe in Basingstoke. Christmas shoe boxes are sent to orphanages in Eastern Europe from Basingstoke and we provide hats, scarves, small toys, scrunchies and small bags for the children. We always have a supply of donated yarns for these projects, if required.

If any charities want us to produce items for them we are always willing to hear from them and help if we can.
