We are a very friendly and sharing group, exchanging advice, patterns and ideas. Members bring along their own work, any form of knitting, crochet, tapestry, cross stitch, bead work etc. If nothing is needed for themselves then there are many ideas for items for one of three charities: small teddies, hats and mittens for the neo-natal unit; hats, scarves, mittens, toys and blankets for orphanages in Eastern Europe; and twiddlemuffs for dementia patients N.H.H. For all of these we usually have a supply of donated wool if needed. We try to have a workshop or demonstration each month so are always very busy. We welcome new members, including those who wish to learn knitting or crochet.
We held our first Zoom meeting on 3 July 2020. 17 members attended, showcasing their work produced during lockdown and having a general catch up. Everyone really enjoyed the meeting and we then had one every fortnight. We kept in touch with other members via email.
We will be returning to face-to-face meetings in Christ Church, Chineham, twice a month, beginning on 10th September 2021
